Killeen Shoemaker's Johnny Jefferson is known for being the speedster in his town. The 2013 RB committed to Baylor in March after receiving a number of D1 offers. We wanted to document Jefferson's 4.3-4.4 speed, but Jefferson recently attained an injury. With Jefferson not participating in the Speed Rank testing, others stepped up, including 2013 grad, Daron Lloyd. Lloyd is a 5'11 175 lb. CB/WR with some real speed at 4.59 in the 40 and impressively carries a good amount of muscle with it. Most WR at Lloyd's age do not have his strong build. He can give a corner a little knock and then burn right by him. He should get an opportunity at some deep balls with QB Ziere Banner spinning it. The 2014 QB showed some real promise as a starting sophomore. His arm is there and will be stronger as a year has passed. Banner has great feet in the pocket and is able to scramble well. He had the top shuttle time at 4.34 and showed some speed with a 4.85, 40 - A great time for a QB. Tim Tebow's NFL combine 40 yard dash was a 4.72 and Colt McCoy posted a 4.79. Banner has similar scrambling ability to both with his quick moves in the pocket. Another offensive threat for Banner will be 2013 RB/Slot Javonte Warren, who showed fluid legs... jumping 36", running 4.64 in the 40 and 4.41 in the shuttle. Warren is quick and will be a great compliment to Johnny Jefferson. On defense, Jefferson's younger brother Desmond Jefferson stepped up with a 4.63 40 yard dash, 34.1" vertical and 4.40 shuttle. Still young the 5'9, 150 lb. cornerback is one of the more athletic DB's in the 2015 class.
